Training

Wednesday 23rd May - Even though a number of members are racing in the WSFRL race at Chichester, we are still meeting at Tilgate Park for training! 7pm start, meeting around 6:50 at the toilet block. Depending on numbers we will either do one session all together on the grass or there will be a session and a trail run.

Friday 25th May - Friday sees our once a month track session at K2 led by our track coach Graham Eaton. This will cost £3 for members and £5 for non-members. Graham says about this weeks session "Weather permitting this session is one that I get asked to repeat more than any other and almost everyone, including me, loves it. Distances will be short and the pace will be fast (very). It’s a lot of fun! One word of caution, this is not the ideal session to do if you have an important race in the few days following. Just wanted to let you know in advance. Enjoy!" We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at K2 on Friday.

On Mondays and Wednesdays we meet at 6:45pm for a 7.00pm start. On occasion we will vary the location to accommodate our now famous "Boroughs of Crawley" series, so watch this space for details on upcoming sessions.

Our training sessions sees us gather at Tilgate Park, Tilgate Dr, Crawley, RH10 5PQ on Monday and Wednesday evenings. 

Training sessions are £1 per session.

On Sundays in winter, there are often organised long training runs for spring marathon and half marathon runners, usually starting at 09.00am from St Nicholas' Church, Worth RH10 7RT.

The group is divided up in to ability, speed and distance to suit everyone’s training requirements.

No one is ever left behind, distances typically range from 5k upwards depending on the group, conditions and weather.

We take part in WSFRL league races, typically on a Sunday once a month and some Wednesday evenings during summer, when there are no WSFRL races on we often take part in other races or meet up to go out for a social Sunday morning run as well as a Friday night social run through Tilgate and Furnace Green, check our Facebook page for details and timings.

Our running coaches are very happy to help those starting out and can help prepare an individual training plan for a particular target or race.
